Directed by Lucie Guest. Premiered on Lifetime TV in Spring 2024.

I collaborated with co-composers on the recording and engineering of an original song and contributed vocals and guitar to the final licensed recording.

  • A standalone work for orchestra. "Jinx" is inspired by the work of composers that shaped my love of movie music as a child.

Magical forests, heart-pounding chases on horseback, towering castles, and floating lights are among the many images I hoped I could evoke with this music.

Recorded at Bastyr Chapel in Kenmore, WA.

  • 2D Platform Shooter developed for the Artist's Tavern Summer Game Jam. The player must team up with robot known only as R.I.K.I. to escape a mysterious mechanical dungeon.

For this project, I composed original menu and level music, wrote and processed dialogue, and designed various in-game sounds.

Directed by Zaki Alabdullah. Saleh tells the story of a teen boy in a rural village in Saudi Arabia that is responsible for caring for his aging father.

I had the opportunity to work on this short film in spring 2023. All recordings were produced at Studio X in Seattle, WA. Recognized at the European Independent Film Festival in Paris, France, for achievement in Arab filmmaking.

  • Animated and directed by Delaney Evans. Burn: the Witch was my first original film project in grad school. It briefly and tragically tells a story of love and intolerance.

I had the great opportunity to co-score it with Sean-Paul Gouw, who wrote a killer 'A' theme that is plastered all over the cue I've included here.

Burn: the Witch was nominated at the Play Short Int'l Film Awards in the category of Best Short Film.

  • This work was composed for chamber orchestra and solo soprano saxophone in the winter of 2022. As an exercise, the aim was to utilize standard jazz harmony in and write a main theme for a hypothetical romantic comedy (probably set in the 90's - when was the last time you saw a romantic comedy?)

I hoped to evoke images of New York during the holidays and so took a great deal of inspiration from one of the all-time great  rom-coms: When Harry Met Sally.

  • Trail in Woods

Directed by Emma Breslauer. The Woods Out Back was the first film I ever scored and I consider myself VERY lucky to have had that opportunity.

For me, it contains a number of creative inspirations; animation, fantasy, benevolent forest spirits. The film premiered in May of 2020 to an audience of drive in moviegoers in Arlington, TX.

I composed and recorded the introductory theme music to the Throw Champagne Podcast with Thomas Massaquoi.

Thomas and I are good friends and when he asked me to come up with something, I'll admit, I was more than a little excited to produce what would inevitably be a pastiche of all the NPR podcast music that bounces between my headphones throughout my day-to-day.
